About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Continental Chef with strong expertise in Indian cuisine and large-scale bulk cooking to join our team on a Middle East-based cruise rig. The ideal candidate should be capable of preparing high-quality meals while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present Continental and Indian dishes to high standards.
- Plan and execute bulk food production for large crews and guests.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and portion control are maintained consistently.
- Maintain HACCP standards, food safety, and kitchen hygiene.
- Manage mise en place and daily kitchen operations efficiently.
- Monitor inventory and minimize food wastage.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
- Follow company SOPs and international hospitality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional chef experience.
- Proven experience in Continental cuisine with strong knowledge of Indian cooking.
- Experience handling bulk cooking operations for hotels, cruise ships, industrial catering, or large restaurants.
- GCC or international hospitality experience is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred.
