- An automotive customer service manager oversees the customer experience and service department operations within a dealership or repair facility.
- Customer Relations: Handle escalated complaints, monitor Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores, and ensure transparent communication from vehicle drop-off to repair completion.
- Team Leadership: Train, and manage service advisors and technicians. Delegate tasks and set departmental performance metrics.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily workflow, manage service scheduling, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards.
- Financial Oversight: Achieve service revenue goals, monitor labor/parts costs, and track profitability metrics (e.g., Average Repair Order).
- Process Improvement: Develop loyalty initiatives, manage CRM systems, and enforce compliance with warranty and policy procedures.
- Experience: 3–7 years in automotive service operations, with proven success in a customer-facing or supervisory role.
