The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant (AP & Admin) to support our Finance team across Accounts Payable and administrative functions.
This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting supplier processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day finance operations. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance within a fast-paced, global environment
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Finance team
Ensure projects are set up accurately in line with sales documentation
Manage the flow of purchase orders and invoices with accuracy
Assist with setting up new vendor and supplier accounts
Manage supplier queries and maintain strong relationships
Reconcile monthly supplier statements
Assist in preparing and recording supplier payments
Prepare and record customer payments
Produce basic reports from finance systems (e.g. aged receivables)
Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
️ Ensure timesheets are submitted accurately and on time, supporting users where needed
Monitor and convert purchase orders based on vendor invoices received
Review and process non-PO vendor invoices
Check and assist with processing employee expense claims
Support UK and US Finance teams with ad-hoc data requests (escalating complex queries as needed)
Provide basic user access support for finance systems
️ Carry out general office and administrative duties
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for a motivated, proactive individual who is keen to develop a career in finance.
You’ll ideally bring:
Ability to follow processes and work with attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
️ Confident communication skills with a range of stakeholders
Comfortable using file management systems and internet tools
Previous exposure to accounting software (desirable but not essential)
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
Strong investigation and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Teams (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
️ Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly
Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
High attention to detail
️ Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
️ Ability to review own work to ensure accuracy
