Position Summary
The Site Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising all construction activities at the project site while ensuring that work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The role also involves maintaining daily records, coordinating with contractors, consultants, clients, and ensuring timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution
- Supervise daily construction activities.
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor work quality and workmanship.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors.
- Verify completed work before billing.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
2. Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare daily and weekly work plans.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Follow the approved project schedule.
- Identify delays and report corrective actions.
- Update progress regularly in the ERP system.
3. Quality Control
- Implement approved Method Statements.
- Conduct quality inspections.
- Ensure work complies with project specifications.
- Raise NCRs whenever required.
- Verify corrective actions.
- Maintain all quality records.
4. Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox talks.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure proper PPE usage.
- Coordinate with the Safety Officer.
5. Client & Consultant Coordination
- Attend site meetings.
- Coordinate inspections.
- Resolve technical queries.
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate and timely records, including:
- Daily Activity Report (DAR)
- Engineer Daily Report (EDR)
- Site Progress Report
- Material Receipt Register
- Material Consumption Report
- Labour Attendance
- Inspection Requests (IR)
- Request for Information (RFI)
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Site Instructions
- Method Statements
- Work Progress Photographs
- Weekly Progress Report
- Monthly Progress Report
- Monthly presentation
7. Measurement & Billing
- Verify contractor measurements.
- Prepare quantity calculations.
- Support RA Bill verification.
- Verify BOQ quantities.
- Assist in variation work measurements.
8. Material Management
- Verify incoming materials.
- Check quality and quantity.
- Coordinate material approvals.
- Monitor material consumption.
- Report shortages in advance.
9. Drawing Management
- Maintain the latest approved drawings.
- Ensure obsolete drawings are removed from use.
- Coordinate revisions with the design team.
- Verify shop drawings before execution.

Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct site rounds.
- Monitor work progress.

- Coordinate with contractors.

- Attend coordination meetings.
- Follow up on pending activities.
- Update ERP reports before the end of the day.
