About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Reporting Engineer (Power BI) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical Power BI reports and dashboards. You will work closely with stakeholders to transform complex data into meaningful insights while ensuring high-performance reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and Paginated Reports.
- Create business-critical reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in SQL Server.
- Work with Snowflake and Databricks to extract, transform, and analyze data.
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.
- Ensure report accuracy, data consistency, and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize SQL queries for improved efficiency.
- Follow reporting standards, documentation practices, and data governance guidelines.
- Participate in cloud data modernization and reporting enhancement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Reporting Engineer, Power BI Developer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience in building Power BI Dashboards and Paginated Reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server with strong T-SQL development skills.
- Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud data modernization projects.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration tools.
- Experience in SQL query performance tuning and optimization.
- Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance in cloud environments.
