We are looking for a System Test Engineer – Manual Testing
A detail-oriented and results-driven testing professional with around 5 years of experience in desktop and web application testing. A passionate quality advocate with strong expertise in system integration testing, test design, defect management, and software quality assurance. Someone who thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to delivering high-quality software solutions.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Analyzing requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and project documentation to define comprehensive system testing strategies.
- Estimating testing efforts and creating detailed system test plans, test designs, and test cases aligned with project requirements.
- Executing functional, regression, integration, system, and non-functional/performance testing across desktop and web applications.
- Identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking software defects using tools such as RTC JAZZ and JIRA.
- Collaborating closely with globally distributed stakeholders including developers, architects, product managers, product owners, support teams, and fellow testers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participating throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is built into every stage of the product.
- Investigating issues, performing root cause analysis in collaboration with development teams, and supporting timely defect resolution.
- Maintaining clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation, reports, and quality records.
- Leveraging AI tools and technologies effectively to improve productivity, efficiency, and testing outcomes.
You’ll win us over by:
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Bringing around 5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of desktop and web applications.
- Demonstrating strong expertise in verification and validation methodologies, test design techniques, and test case creation for system, integration, functional, regression, and edge-case testing.
- Possessing solid experience in system integration testing within complex engineering environments.
- Having proficiency with requirement and test management tools such as RTC JAZZ, RTC QM, and JIRA.
- Understanding Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices.
- Having knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, network protocols, and Windows security principles.
- Demonstrating familiarity with web technologies including REST APIs, web servers, client-server architecture, and distributed systems.
- Possessing basic hands-on experience with database management systems such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Being experienced in working with virtualized test environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or Oracle VirtualBox.
- Showcasing strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities to identify and resolve software issues effectively.
- Communicating effectively through excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Being a fast learner with the ability to quickly gain expertise in complex systems under test.
- Demonstrating a collaborative team-player mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
Nice to have:
- ISTQB Certified Tester certification.
- Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) certification.
- Knowledge of building automation protocols such as BACnet.
- Hands-on experience with hardware/device configuration and networking environments.
- Familiarity with server operating systems.
- Experience with performance measurement and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to automation testing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox.
