Maintenance staff in a three-star hotel is responsible for ensuring that all hotel facilities, equipment, and technical systems are functioning properly and safely. The role includes preventive maintenance, daily repairs, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting smooth hotel operations for guests and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
- Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, and lighting systems.
- Fix furniture, doors, locks, windows, and basic carpentry issues.
- Ensure proper functioning of water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
- Maintain generators, pumps, boilers, and other hotel equipment.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and front office regarding room readiness.
- Monitor safety standards and report major technical problems.
- Handle painting, polishing, and minor renovation work when required.
- Keep maintenance tools and storage areas organized and safe.
- Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Ability to work independently and solve technical problems efficiently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends or holidays if required.
- Physically fit and able to handle maintenance equipment and tools.
