Job Summary
TNPC Ventures Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, drawings, site coordination, and ensuring that structural works are executed safely and in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and applicable codes.
The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to coordinate effectively with architects, contractors, consultants, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, and other building projects.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, details, and design reports.
- Design RCC and structural steel elements including beams, columns, slabs, foundations, staircases, and other structural components.
- Develop and review structural drawings using AutoCAD and relevant structural design software.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and site engineers to resolve structural issues.
- Review structural drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs and project specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspect structural works to ensure execution is as per drawings and specifications.
- Identify design or construction-related structural issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Check reinforcement detailing, shuttering, concreting, and other structural activities at site.
- Review material specifications, method statements, and shop drawings where required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indian Standards, building codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with third-party consultants and structural design consultants when required.
- Monitor structural work progress and provide technical support to the project/site team.
- Maintain proper documentation of structural calculations, drawings, revisions, inspections, and approvals.
- Assist in estimation, quantity calculations, BOQs, and technical evaluations when required.
- Ensure quality, safety, and engineering standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in structural design and/or construction.
- Strong knowledge of RCC and structural steel design.
- Good understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, or similar tools will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant IS Codes and Indian structural design standards.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and construction drawings.
- Good understanding of construction practices and site execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in building construction projects.
- Experience in RCC framed structures and foundations.
- Knowledge of structural detailing and reinforcement detailing.
- Familiarity with quantity estimation and BOQ preparation.
- Experience coordinating with consultants and contractors.
- Knowledge of BIM/Revit Structure will be an added advantage.
