Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – West India will be responsible for driving sales
growth, market expansion, channel development, and customer relationship
management across the West India region. The role requires strong experience in the
solar industry, including rooftop solar, solar EPC, solar modules, inverters, mounting
structures, and related renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve regional sales targets and profitability objectives.
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share across West
India.
Identify and convert new business opportunities in Industrial, Commercial,
Residential, Government, and Institutional sectors.
Generate revenue through direct sales, channel partners, distributors, and EPC
contractors.
Monitor sales pipeline and ensure timely closure of opportunities.
2. Business Development
Develop relationships with key customers, consultants, EPC companies, project
developers, and government agencies.
Explore new markets, territories, and customer segments.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and
business opportunities.
Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events.
3. Channel Partner Management
Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
Ensure channel partners achieve sales objectives and maintain healthy business
relationships.

Conduct regular partner training on products, technical features, and sales
processes.
Drive partner engagement programs and incentive schemes.
4. Key Account Management
Build long-term relationships with strategic customers.
Negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, and pricing.
Resolve customer issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with project, service, and operations teams for successful project
execution.
5. Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage the regional sales team.
Set KPIs and sales targets for team members.
Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Support recruitment and development of sales personnel within the region.
6. Forecasting & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Track sales performance against targets.
Submit MIS reports, market intelligence reports, and competitor analysis.
Maintain CRM records and ensure accurate sales data.
7. Coordination with Internal Teams
Work closely with Marketing, Engineering, Project Execution, Finance, Supply
Chain, and Service departments.
Ensure smooth order processing, dispatch, installation, and payment collection.
Support product launches and promotional activities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related
field.
MBA (Sales & Marketing) preferred.
8–15 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in the Solar/Renewable
Energy industry.
Experience managing West India sales territory.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong B2B sales and business development skills.
Knowledge of Solar PV systems, EPC projects, modules, inverters, and
renewable energy solutions.
Channel sales and dealer network development expertise.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Proficiency in CRM and MS Office.
