Dialysis Technician
Job Summary:
As a Dialysis Technician at Karpagam Hospital, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of dialysis equipment, ensuring that patients receive safe and effective dialysis treatments. You will play a vital role in assisting patients with their treatments and providing excellent patient care. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.
Job Role & Responsibilities :
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines and related equipment before and during dialysis sessions.
- Set up dialyzers, bloodlines, dialysate and other required consumables as per the prescribed treatment plan.
- Verify patient details and dialysis prescription before initiating treatment.
- Assist with preparation and care of vascular access sites while maintaining proper infection-control practices.
- Monitor patients and dialysis parameters, including blood pressure, pulse rate, blood flow rate and ultrafiltration.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques and hospital infection-control protocols.
- Perform pre-use checks, cleaning and disinfection of dialysis equipment as per unit protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of dialysis treatment, patient observations and machine parameters.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste according to hospital guidelines.
Qualification:
- B.Sc. Dialysis Technology from a recognized University.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a dialysis unit.
