Key Responsibilities
- Patient Greeting & Check-in: Welcome visitors, register patients, and guide them to appropriate departments or waiting areas.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointments via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring optimal utilization of diagnostic equipment and technician time.
- Billing & Administrative Tasks: Process payments, prepare invoices, assist with insurance claims, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication & Support: Handle multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, and provide information on services, preparation, and costs.
- Report Distribution: Ensure timely delivery of test results to patients or referring doctors.
- Record Management: Maintain patient confidentiality, update medical records, and handle sensitive information securely.
- Environment Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean and organized.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication for interacting with patients and medical staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to use Patient Management Software (PMS), laboratory information systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, patience, and a professional demeanor, especially when dealing with anxious patients.
- Organization & Multitasking: Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced environments effectively.
- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic procedures is often preferred.
