Job Profile: Windchill Administrator
This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Adroitec Client Windchill and Engineering applications servers. Associated development activities predominantly use C, C++, JAVA, C#, and .NET languages and will focus on the support, maintenance and enhancement of windchill systems in the Engineering domain including Windchill PDMLink 10.0+ and CREO Parametric 2.0+
Primary Job Functions:
- Lead Windchill Upgrade projects and activities (coordination of all sites and IT resources)
- Windchill Maintenance Document tasks (WinDU, WinRU, revaulting, etc.
- Maintain vault space
- Clone/Rehosts
- Active Directory Integration
- Workers Administration (maintenance, cleanup, connection)
- Review ServerManager, MethodServer and other logs for issues
- Log and temp file cleanup and rotation
- PSM administration and reporting
- Environment planning (monitor CPU, RAM, and disk space growth and plan for expansion or clean-up)
- Remote File Server setup and maintenance
- Infrastructure monitoring and support (network, firewall, backups, disaster recovery, data storage).
- Coordinate environment resources and schedules for development, test, certification and production activities
- Support and perform code deployments and configuration changes at the system level, including code review and test coordination
- Support creation and deployment of supporting application packages at a global level (e.g. Desktop Integration, Creo View, Creo Agent, Creo Parametric, Java client, etc.)Maintain system administration documentation and architecture map
- This position includes on-call critical support as well as working with tier 1 and 2 analysts and application users to provide support.
Desired Qualification & Experience
- 2 – 5 years related on Windchill Administration
- Developing applications in JAVA, C or C++
- Experience scripting in UNIX and Windows Operating SystemsExperience with Engineering concepts and programs (Windchill PDMLink 10.0, CREO Parametric 2.0+) desirable
- Knowledge of SQL and XML
- On call availability (24×7) for system administration support
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, customer support environment and with all levels of the organization.
