- Analyze consumer buying patterns and predict future trends
- Assist in the selection of products and review the performance of existing products
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for future products
- Negotiate prices, quantities and delivery time-scales with suppliers
- Ensure suppliers deliver on time and resolve any supply issues
- Manage and monitor orders and inventory levels
- Assist with promotional strategies and display plans
- Work closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximize sales
- Process purchase orders and invoices
- Attend trade events, fairs and exhibitions to stay updated on market trends.
