Qualification : B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience : 5–10 years of in Mechanical/Product Design.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with experience in automotive electrical/electronic products, plastic enclosures, switches, lights, buzzers, flashers, connectors or similar compact products will be preferred.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling:
Dismantle → Reverse Engineer → SolidWorks 3D → 2D Drawing → RPT/Prototype → Testing → Design Improvement → Production Support
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop parts, assemblies and product enclosures using SolidWorks.
· Dismantle existing products and perform reverse engineering to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
· Prepare GD&T, tolerances, BOMs and technical drawings.
· Design components considering DFM/DFA, injection moulding, tooling and manufacturing feasibility.
· Support RPT / Rapid Prototyping, prototype development, testing and validation.
· Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, tooling and suppliers for product development.
· Work with the electrical/electronics team for PCB, connector and component integration.
· Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages.
· Follow IATF 16949 requirements and support product-development documentation such as APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and Design Reviews.
· Take complete ownership of assigned projects and deliver activities within timelines.
