DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure & Network Automation)
Role Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 1+ years of experience to join our team. This role focuses on optimizing, maintaining, and automating both modern cloud pipelines and traditional, manually hosted infrastructure. · Legacy System Maintenance: Manage and optimize manually hosted applications on bare-metal and virtualized on-premise Linux environments.
· Migration Strategy: Map, document, and prepare manual application deployments for future migration to cloud infrastructure.
Automation & CI/CD Pipelines
· Pipeline Engineering: Maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
· Manual to Automated Transition: Write custom scripting to eliminate repetitive, manual hosting tasks.
· Infrastructure as Code: Provision and scale environments using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Server Administration & Containerisation
· Linux Management: Administer and optimize Ubuntu/Linux servers, focusing on performance tuning and network security.
· Container Orchestration: Support containerised applications using Docker and basic Amazon EKS Kubernetes orchestration.
· Monitoring & Observability: Monitor uptime and configure alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
·
Required Qualifications & Skills
· Experience: 1+ years in DevOps, Network Administration, or Systems Engineering roles.
· Networking: Valid CCNA certification or equivalent deep knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, and routing protocols.
· Hosting Environments: Hands-on experience troubleshooting manual server deployments (Apache, Nginx, or SSH-based manual hosting).
· Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux/Ubuntu server administration and command-line troubleshooting.
· Scripting: Proficiency in Bash or Python to automate manual operational tasks.
· Version Control: Solid understanding of Git workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
