A Private Investigator (PI) is responsible for conducting confidential investigations on behalf of individuals, businesses, or legal organizations. Their role involves gathering information, conducting surveillance, verifying facts, and preparing detailed reports to assist clients in making informed decisions or supporting legal cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance and background investigations on individuals or organizations.
- Collect evidence related to fraud, missing persons, infidelity, insurance claims, or criminal activities.
- Interview witnesses and relevant persons to obtain accurate information.
- Perform background checks, asset searches, and record verification.
- Use databases, public records, and digital tools to gather intelligence.
- Document findings and prepare detailed investigation reports.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with lawyers, insurance companies, and corporate clients when required.
- Appear in court to present evidence if necessary.
