Veten Ecom is looking for a skilled and creative WordPress Website Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be comfortable building, customizing, maintaining, and optimizing professional business websites using WordPress.
You will work on websites for our company and clients, converting design requirements into responsive, fast, and user-friendly websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional WordPress websites.
- Build responsive websites that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
- Create websites using Elementor and other WordPress page builders.
- Customize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP when required.
- Set up and configure WordPress plugins and integrations.
- Work with contact forms, WhatsApp integrations, Google Maps, analytics and other third-party tools.
- Develop and maintain WooCommerce websites when required.
- Troubleshoot website, plugin, theme, hosting and compatibility issues.
- Improve website speed, performance and mobile responsiveness.
- Implement basic on-page SEO best practices.
- Manage WordPress updates, backups and basic website security.
- Work with domains, hosting, SSL and cPanel.
- Test websites before launch and ensure functionality across major browsers and devices.
- Coordinate with the design, marketing and development team.
- Understand client requirements and convert them into functional websites.
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress.
- Experience with Elementor or similar page builders.
- Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript.
- Basic knowledge of PHP.
- Experience with WordPress themes and plugins.
- Knowledge of responsive web design.
- Basic understanding of SEO and website performance optimization.
- Familiarity with hosting, domains, SSL and cPanel.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Good to Have
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations.
- Knowledge of WordPress custom theme development.
- Knowledge of basic PHP/MySQL.
- Experience with API integrations.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Basic understanding of website security and backups.
- Good understanding of UI/UX and modern website design.
