Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Measure components using measuring instruments such as:
- Vernier Caliper
- Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Change cutting tools and tool offsets when required.
- Monitor machine performance during operation.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Report machine faults or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain production records and inspection reports.
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain 5S and good housekeeping in the work area.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of VMC/CNC machine operation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of CNC programs and G-code/M-code.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
Qualifications
- ITI (Fitter, Turner, Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience as a VMC Operator (or Fresher with relevant training).
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹29,726.29 per month
