The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of construction activities at project sites, including large-scale township development projects. The role ensures timely completion of work within defined scope, while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, set out, and level construction sites in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and township master plans.
- Execute and monitor work schedules, targets, and progress timelines to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring optimal utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure alignment with project milestones, quality benchmarks, and township infrastructure requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and resolve on-site engineering challenges effectively.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved designs, drawings, and engineering standards.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure materials and workmanship meet specified standards.
- Manage site resources efficiently, including manpower, machinery, and materials, for smooth project execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations across all activities.
- Maintain site security and safeguard construction materials, equipment, and assets.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage variations in project scope, schedules, and township infrastructure works.
- Prepare and maintain site reports, checklists, and documentation as per project and quality standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards, especially in township and infrastructure development
- Ability to read, interpret, and implement construction drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Sound understanding of site safety practices and statutory compliance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Effective communication, coordination, and team management skills
- Ability to handle multiple site activities and large-scale township projects efficiently
