Role Description This is a full-time Software Engineer – Backend employment from office in New Delhi, India. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable server-side services, RESTful APIs, and microservices that power our SaaS platform. You will integrate AI/LLM capabilities using OpenAI and Gemini APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to end-to-end product development. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organisation abilities, and must be able to work in a varied, fast-paced product development environment. The ability to self-manage and a sense of curiosity are a must in this role.
Responsibilities:
· Design and develop high-performance, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
· Build, deploy, and maintain microservices-based architecture to support our SaaS product suite.
· Design and manage relational databases using SQL, including schema design, query optimisation, and data integrity.
· Integrate AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Gemini) to develop intelligent, AI-powered features within our platform.
· Use Git/GitHub for version control, branching workflows, pull requests, and collaborative code management.
· Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices.
· Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to implement features end-to-end.
· Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior team members.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
· Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies, Java ecosystem updates, and AI/LLM advancements.
· Follow Agile Software Development Life Cycle practices including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
Pay: ₹483,000.00 - ₹552,000.00 per year
