Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs.
- Maintain safety records and prepare reports.
- Implement emergency response plans and drills.
- Ensure workplace safety and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations as per the Factories Act, 1948.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of machines, equipment, and work areas.
- Identify hazards and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare investigation reports.
- Conduct safety awareness and training programs for employees and workers.
- Ensure proper use and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, safety shoes, and goggles.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation.
- Conduct internal safety audits and support external safety audits as per ISO 45001 standards.
- Identify workplace risks and perform risk assessments to reduce accidents.
- Monitor safety compliance in all departments and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Maintain fire safety equipment and conduct emergency evacuation and mock drills.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and suggest safety improvements.
- Coordinate with management and employees to promote a safety culture in the organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/Graduate in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications like NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 (preferred).
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, good communication, and problem-solving skills.
