1. Job Purpose
The PRT Hindi Teacher is responsible for delivering effective Hindi language instruction to primary school students, developing their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills, and creating a positive, engaging, and disciplined classroom environment.
The teacher is expected to follow the prescribed CBSE curriculum, school academic policies, lesson plans, assessment schedules, and institutional standards.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Learning
- Teach Hindi to primary-grade students as per the prescribed curriculum and academic plan.
- Prepare and deliver well-structured lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Develop students' skills in Hindi reading, writing, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Use age-appropriate teaching methodologies, activities, stories, worksheets, games, and other learning resources.
- Encourage active participation and ensure that students understand the concepts taught.
- Cater to students with different learning abilities and provide appropriate academic support.
- Integrate technology and digital teaching resources wherever appropriate.
B. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, safe, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor student behaviour, attendance, participation, and academic progress.
- Promote good habits, communication skills, values, and respectful behaviour among students.
- Ensure effective classroom discipline in accordance with school policies.
- Supervise students during assigned duties, activities, assemblies, and school programmes.
C. Assessment & Evaluation
- Prepare classwork, homework, worksheets, assignments, tests, and other assessments.
- Conduct periodic assessments as per the school academic calendar.
- Evaluate students' work fairly and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and assessment results.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and provide remedial teaching.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress appropriately.
D. Academic Planning & Documentation
- Follow the school's annual academic plan, lesson plans, syllabus schedule, and assessment framework.
- Maintain required academic records, lesson plans, notebooks, assessment records, and student portfolios.
- Complete the syllabus within the prescribed timeline without compromising learning outcomes.
- Coordinate with the Hindi department and other teachers for academic planning and activities.
- Participate in curriculum planning and academic review meetings.
E. Co-Curricular Activities
- Organise and participate in Hindi-related activities such as:
- Hindi Diwas celebrations
- Elocution and storytelling
- Poetry recitation
- Essay and handwriting competitions
- Quiz and debate activities
- Reading activities
- Cultural programmes
- Encourage students to participate in inter-house and inter-school competitions.
F. Student Development
- Develop students' interest and confidence in the Hindi language.
- Encourage creativity, communication, reading habits, and cultural awareness.
- Provide individual attention to students wherever required.
- Support the overall personality development and emotional well-being of students within the teacher's professional role.
- Act as a positive role model for students.
G. Parent & School Coordination
- Maintain professional communication with parents regarding students' academic progress and classroom performance.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and other school meetings as required.
- Coordinate with the class teacher, academic coordinator, counsellor, and school administration when necessary.
- Address student-related academic concerns professionally and promptly.
H. Institutional Responsibilities
- Follow all school rules, policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, orientations, and professional development activities.
- Undertake examination duties, invigilation, substitution classes, admission-related activities, and other academic responsibilities assigned by the school.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student, parent, staff, and institutional information.
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Principal or Management in the interest of the institution.
3. Educational Qualification
- Masters Degree with Hindi as a subject / relevant qualification.
- D.El.Ed. / B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification.
- CTET qualification will be preferred, subject to applicable school requirements.
- Candidates should have a strong command of Hindi and English.
4. Experience
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school is preferred.
- Experience in teaching Hindi at the Primary School level will be an advantage.
- Experience in a CBSE school will be preferred.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
