Job Title: Senior OT Technician
Job Summary:
Dr. Aravind’s IVF Fertility & Pregnancy Center is looking for an experienced and skilled Senior OT Technician to manage and support daily operations in the Operation Theatre. The candidate will be responsible for OT preparation, assisting surgical teams, maintaining sterile procedures, and ensuring smooth workflow during surgeries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre before and after surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgeries.
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Check availability and functionality of OT equipment, instruments, and surgical supplies.
- Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Manage surgical instruments, implants, and consumables inventory.
- Support patient positioning, transfer, and pre/post-operative care activities.
- Maintain OT records, checklists, and documentation.
- Coordinate with hospital teams for smooth OT operations.
- Guide and train junior OT technicians when required.
- Follow hospital policies, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an OT Technician.
- Good knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and OT protocols.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
