Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Process Control: Monitor the daily operations of forging presses, hammers, and heating furnaces to achieve shift-wise production targets while minimizing downtime.
- Quality Assurance & SPC: Conduct precise dimensional and visual inspections of forged components. Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and 7 QC tools to resolve in-house rejections, customer-end core variations, and stamping height variations.
- Tool Room Coordination: Oversee die alignment and monitor die life. Coordinate closely with tool room operations for timely die maintenance, repair, and quick changeovers.
- Supplier & Process Optimization: Support Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) activities to ensure raw material compliance. Implement root cause analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to reduce scrap and optimize cycle times.
- Team & Shop Floor Management: Allocate daily tasks to shift operators and technicians. Ensure strict adherence to 5S, 3C, and industrial safety standards on the shop floor.
- Machinery Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for heavy machinery, reducing unexpected breakdowns.
