Role description
Team Lead
Location - Mumbai (preferred onsite at client location)
Experience - 6-8 Years (min 3+ years in lead role)
What You Will Be Doing
1. Lead a team of 6-8 members for Change Request (CR) development in a banking environment.
2. Own end-to-end delivery lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
3. Collaborate with business/BSG and internal stakeholders to understand, validate, and finalize requirements.
4. Ensure scope clarity and expectation alignment before sharing requirements with vendor teams.
5. Maintain strong communication with senior leadership, providing timely updates, insights, and escalation of critical issues.
6. Operate effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
7. Coordinate with external vendors for development, track progress, and ensure timely delivery.
8. Manage and track multiple sprints/releases simultaneously.
9. Identify risks early, escalate to senior stakeholders, and drive mitigation plans.
10. Establish strong governance, reporting, and delivery tracking mechanisms.
11. Mentor team members and ensure quality, productivity, and accountability.
Required Skills
1. 6-8 years of experience with minimum 3+ years in team leadership.
2. Strong understanding of Banking domain (Lending / Collections).
3. Proven experience in Change Request delivery / application development lifecycle.
4. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
5. Experience working in vendor-driven delivery models.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities, sprints, and deadlines effectively.
7. Basic understanding of technical architecture and development processes.
8. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
Good to Have
1. Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
2. Familiarity with banking IT systems or consulting environments.
3. Exposure to governance frameworks and delivery tracking tools (JIRA, etc.).
4. Ability to challenge business requirements constructively and control scope.
5. Experience in risk management and senior stakeholder reporting.
