Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Optic Engineer to join our ISP team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks to ensure reliable connectivity and high network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, splice, terminate, and maintain fiber optic cables and network infrastructure.
- Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber network faults and connectivity issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and network performance checks.
- Coordinate with field technicians, contractors, and customers during installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test results.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Support network expansion and fiber deployment projects.
Requirements
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of GPON, FTTH, and fiber network technologies.
- Experience using OTDR, fusion splicer, and fiber testing tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in the field as required.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Fiber splicing and termination expertise.
- Knowledge of ISP network operations.
- Understanding of network documentation and mapping.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
