Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth in rooms, MICE (Meetings, Incentives,
Conferences, and Events), and day-out sales. This role requires building and maintaining client
relationships, developing targeted sales strategies, and collaborating across departments to
optimize occupancy, event bookings, and overall revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans with the sales leadership, focused on room sales,
MICE business, and day-out bookings to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across corporate clients and event
management companies.
- Manage the entire sales cycle for MICE events, including venue sourcing, contract negotiation,
and follow-up to ensure successful event execution.
- Promote day-out packages and leisure offerings to corporate groups to increase weekday and
off-season revenue.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and client
retention.
- Collaborate with marketing and revenue management teams to design promotional campaigns
targeting key segments.
- Utilize CRM and PMS systems to track sales activities, leads, bookings, and client feedback
effectively.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, performance analysis, and reports for senior management.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions focused on MICE
and corporate sales.
- Work closely with operations, events, and front office teams to ensure seamless guest
experiences for room guests and event attendees.
- Negotiate contracts, proposals, and rates with clients and partners to maximize profitability
while maintaining client satisfaction.
RequirementsQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related
field.
- 1-5 years of proven experience in hospitality sales, preferably handling rooms, MICE, and leisure
day-out sales.
- Sound knowledge of hospitality CRM, PMS systems, and sales management tools.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in hotel or resort environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively across departments.
- Must have experience in hospitality industry.
