Job Discription Required :-
- Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
- Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountabiliy
- Team leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the accounts team (accountants and clerical staff); assign duties, set performance targets, and provide training.
- Day‑to‑day operations: Manage daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, fee receipting, payroll coordination, vendor payments, and expense controls.
- Purchase approvals: Act as the final authority for purchase approvals within delegated limits; ensure procurement follows school policy, budget availability, and proper documentation.
- Accounting systems: Maintain and manage accounting records in Tally; ensure timely entries, ledgers, journals, and vouchers.
- Financial reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, budget vs actual reports, and financial analysis for school leadership.
- Year‑end and statutory compliance: Lead preparation and finalisation of annual financial statements and balance sheet; coordinate statutory audits and implement auditors’ recommendations.
- Tax, legal & regulatory: Ensure compliance with Income Tax, PF/ESI, TDS and other statutory requirements; maintain records and filings for societies and trusts as per applicable laws and guidelines.
- Budgeting & forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasts; advise management on cost control measures and long‑term financial planning.
- Liaison & documentation: Coordinate with external auditors, chartered accountants, bank officials, Government/Tax authorities, and the school’s Managing Committee/Trustees; prepare agenda and finance notes for committee meetings.
- Risk & audit: Oversee internal audit processes, ensure corrective actions, and maintain documentation for compliance and transparency.
Qualification Required
- Minimum qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA), OR Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting (M.Com/MBA Finance) OR Bachelor’s degree with professional experience.
- Experience: 10–15+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance; at least 5 years in a senior supervisory/managerial finance role, preferably in educational institutions, NGOs, societies, or trusts.
- Technical skills: Proficient in Tally (mandatory); strong MS Excel skills; familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge: In‑depth knowledge of Indian Income Tax laws, compliance requirements for societies/trusts, TDS, payroll taxes, and statutory filings.
- Skills & attributes: Strong leadership and team management skills, attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work with governing bodies and external auditors.
- Language: Proficiency in English.

Reporting & Authority

Working Conditions
- Full‑time, on‑site position within school premises.
- Standard office hours with occasional extended hours during audits, month/year‑end closures, or management meetings.
Compensation
