e are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Medical Sales Representative with a minimum of 6 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, promoting our product range, driving sales growth within your assigned territory, and leading market penetration strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Revenue Generation: Achieve and consistently exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the designated territory.
- Doctor Detailing & Relationship Building: Regular visits to key targeted doctors, consultants, chemists, and hospitals to present product details, technical data, and clinical research benefits.
- Territory Management: Plan effective daily route coverage (call plans), maintain optimal stock levels at retail/wholesale counters, and maximize market share.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, new product launches, and market developments; share strategic feedback with sales leadership.
- Product Promotions: Conduct product presentations, clinical meets, CME programs, and promotional campaigns to strengthen product recall among key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Chemist & Stockist Management: Manage relationships with primary and secondary distribution channels, ensure product availability, and resolve collection or supply chain issues.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain and submit accurate daily work reports (DWR), doctor call reports, order status updates, and expense statements as per company policy.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or B.Sc. (MBA in Marketing/Sales is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in pharma sales / medical detailing.
- Strong Network: Existing strong networks with key specialists, hospitals, chemists, and stockists in the target area.
- Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of pharmacology, clinical terminology, competitor products, and market dynamics.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (valid driving license and two-wheeler/car required).
