The OP Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily outpatient operations of the department, ensuring smooth patient flow, appointment scheduling, consultation support, and effective coordination between patients, doctors, nursing, and diagnostic services. The role focuses on enhancing patient experience, operational efficiency, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of the outpatient department.
- Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and consultation flow.
- Ensure proper coordination between consultants, nursing staff, audiology, laboratory, radiology, and billing departments.
- Assist patients with consultation procedures, investigations, admissions, and follow-up appointments.
- Monitor waiting time and ensure timely patient movement within the department.
- Maintain accurate patient records, appointment logs, and departmental reports in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Coordinate OT scheduling and admission processes for the departmental surgical patients when required.
- Handle patient queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure availability of required forms, consumables, and departmental stationery.
- Support consultants during camps, health checkups, and special clinics.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with hospital policies.
- Ensure adherence to NABH standards, infection control practices, and safety protocols.
- Prepare daily census, consultation statistics, and departmental reports for management review.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management / Any Graduate.
- Diploma or certification in Hospital Administration preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in hospital operations or outpatient coordination.
- Experience in NABH accredited hospitals preferred.
