MRI Radiographer
Reporting To: Diagnostic Incharge
Role Purpose:
To ensure excellence in patient care by undertaking CT and MRI diagnostic imaging procedures with the highest level of accuracy and in compliance with defined procedures, standards & protocols, thereby aiding in accurate diagnosis and appropriate care planning/treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Evaluate patients’ medical history and condition before imaging.
· Interact with patients to offer psychological support and address concerns about imaging procedures.
· Follow directions of the Radiologist, Clinical Specialist, senior staff, and departmental protocols.
· Provide quality service by ensuring courtesy, kindness, efficiency, accuracy, and confidentiality in patient care.
· Keep up to date with current techniques and developments in CT/MRI imaging, participate in in-service training, and actively pursue Continued Professional Development.
· Perform CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
· Accurately position patients for scanning to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
· Explain the procedure to the patient and ensure comfort, safety, and cooperation throughout.
· Administer oral/IV contrast media under the supervision and approval of the Radiologist, following hospital protocols.
· Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast administration to ensure safety.
· Perform MRI imaging procedures on specified anatomical regions, adhering to established standards of practice.
· Complete and sign MRI screening forms; ensure patients are cleared for MRI safety requirements.
· Maintain patient comfort and care during the procedure.
· Administer contrast agents under Radiologist guidance as per hospital protocols.
· Observe and follow MRI safety guidelines, including screening of staff and attendants.
· Regularly inspect CT/MRI equipment for functionality; report defects immediately.
· Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration schedules are adhered to.
· Maintain a clean, safe environment in and around imaging suites.
· Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
· Comply with all radiation safety and hospital safety policies.
· Work as per the duty roster and attend to emergency duties when required.
· Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Incharge.
Knowledge
· Strong knowledge of human anatomy.
· Familiarity with medical terminology.
· Awareness of Radiation Safety and MRI Safety guidelines.
· In-depth knowledge of CT/MRI imaging standards, protocols, and procedures.
Skills
· High proficiency in operating, calibrating, and maintaining CT and MRI equipment.
· Ability to position patients accurately to produce high-quality images.
· Critical thinking skills for assisting in interpretation and reporting.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong computer skills for image processing and reporting.
· Excellent communication and patient-handling skills.

· B.Sc. in Radiography/Medical Imaging Technology.
· Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in CT/MRI in a hospital environment.
· Advanced Diploma or specialized certification in CT/MRI. (Preferable)
· Achieve at least 90% patient satisfaction scores.
· Reduce patient waiting time for CT/MRI to less than 20 minutes.
· Maintain >95% uptime of CT/MRI equipment through proper use and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
