- Order Processing: Raise, track, and manage purchase orders (POs) for raw materials, solvents, catalysts, and safety gear.
- Inventory Monitoring: Check stock levels daily to prevent production shortages or costly plant shutdowns.
- Vendor Coordination: Contact suppliers to get price quotes, compare offers, and ensure deliveries arrive on time.
- Cross-Department Support: Work with the production, quality control (QA), and warehouse teams to confirm that delivered chemicals match required purity and safety standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of purchases, invoices, shipping documents, and supplier contracts.
- Market Research: Gather pricing trends for basic chemicals and packaging to help the manager find cost-saving deals.
