Position: Purchase Manager
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech (Mechanical, Civil, or Relevant Engineering Discipline)
Experience: 5–6 Years
Industry Preference: Construction / Infrastructure / EPC Company
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, machinery, and services required for project execution.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Purchase Orders (PO), and contracts.
- Coordinate with project, site, stores, and planning teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of critical construction materials.
- Track supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and service standards.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual obligations.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, including material shortages, delayed deliveries, and vendor disputes.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation for audits and reporting.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and management updates.
- Support project teams in achieving budget targets through effective vendor management and negotiation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes in the construction, infrastructure, or EPC industry.
- Experience in sourcing construction materials such as steel, cement, structural components, electrical and mechanical items.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and procurement activities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control practices.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
