Gilco Global is looking for a Junior Field Technician – New Installation to join our Projects team. We are looking for someone who is technically inclined, comfortable working at project sites and keen to build hands-on expertise in the installation and commissioning of lifts and elevators.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, erection and commissioning of lifts/elevators at project sites.
- Carry out mechanical and basic electrical installation activities under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers.
- Assist with guide rail installation, machine and equipment positioning, wiring, alignment and related installation work.
- Support testing, adjustment and troubleshooting during installation and commissioning.
- Read and follow basic technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
- Ensure proper handling and upkeep of tools, equipment and installation material at site.
- Follow prescribed PPE, safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements at all times.
- Maintain installation quality in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other site personnel for timely execution of assigned work.
- Maintain accurate reporting of daily site activities and job progress through the company’s prescribed systems.
- Be willing to travel to project sites as required.
Candidate Profile
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or a related technical trade preferred.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in lifts, elevators, escalators or a similar electromechanical field.
- Fresh ITI/Diploma candidates with strong technical aptitude may also be considered.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Comfortable working at construction and installation sites.
- Safety-conscious, disciplined and willing to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a field team.
- Candidates who can join at short notice will be preferred.
