How you'll make an impact
Responsibilities:
As a member of our ALM team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Modelling asset classes such as equities, credit, bonds, derivatives, hedge funds and other alternatives using in-house tools, alongside modelling DB pension fund contingent liabilities.

Designing and implementing capital market and LDI solutions to reduce risk or increase expected returns. • Evaluating the risks within pension funds (predominantly UK Defined Benefit) and other institutional investor portfolios.

Monitoring markets and staying abreast of key developments; explaining and attributing their impact on client portfolios.

Liaising with investment consultants to understand client needs, and using our proprietary modelling to deliver first class advice.

Acting as first port of call for the consulting team to discuss project approach, plan delivery and opine on fees.

Formulating ongoing investment strategy recommendations (aligned with CIO views, investment principles, client preferences and manager views) in response to changes in objectives, circumstances and market conditions.
About you
Qualifications:

A CFA Charter-holder or FIA/AIA, or working towards these qualifications
- 2-7 years into your career with a relevant organisation (e.g. Investment Consultancy/Actuarial Consultancy/Life Insurer/)
- Highly interested in financial markets

Well versed in modelling asset classes or pension fund contingent liabilities
- Analytical and not afraid to query preconceived ideas
- Detail-oriented and comfortable delivering work both collaboratively and independently
Preferred:

MBA or FIA/FFA/CFA certification/accreditation
