- Prepare the operation theatre before surgical procedures.
- Prepare and check the anaesthesia machine, ventilator, suction apparatus, oxygen supply, and patient monitoring equipment before each procedure.
- Arrange and maintain sterile surgical instruments, implants, linen, anaesthesia drugs, airway devices, and consumables required for surgery.
- Assist surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and nursing staff during all surgical procedures.
- Assist the anaesthesiologist during induction, maintenance, and recovery from anaesthesia.
- Prepare and assist with intubation and extubation by arranging laryngoscopes, endotracheal tubes, LMAs, masks, and other airway equipment.
- Maintain sterile technique and aseptic practices throughout surgical procedures.
- Perform surgical instrument, sponge, and needle counts before and after surgery.
- Assist in patient positioning and safe transfer of patients to and from the operation theatre.
- Ensure OT lights, operating table, cautery machine, suction units, anaesthesia machine, and all OT equipment are in working condition.
- Clean, disinfect, and prepare OT and anaesthesia equipment after every procedure.
- Coordinate with CSSD for the availability of sterile instruments and trays.
- Maintain inventory of surgical instruments, anaesthesia consumables, and OT supplies, and ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and preventive servicing.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately to the OT In-charge and Biomedical Engineering Department.
- Follow hospital policies on infection prevention, biomedical waste management, and patient safety.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and clinical records.
- Participate in emergency surgeries, trauma cases, and Code Blue situations as required.
- Comply with NABH standards, hospital SOPs, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nursing staff, CSSD, Biomedical Engineering, and other support departments.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
