Overview: Hiring a Senior Unified Communications Engineer to provide end-to-end ownership across platform engineering and operations for enterprise Cisco collaboration environments in a regulated financial services setup.
Role Details: Domain: Unified Communications | Scope: Platform + Operations | Experience: 7–10 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L3/L4 support for Cisco UC platforms (CUCM, Unity, CER)
- Design dial plans, call routing, and high availability architectures
- Manage Oracle SBC, SIP trunking, and Teams Direct Routing integrations
- Lead P1/P0 incident response, RCA, and long-term remediation
- Drive upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management
- Ensure HA/DR readiness, failover validation, and resiliency design
- Perform SIP ladder analysis, call flow troubleshooting, QoS diagnostics
- Enforce CAB, ITIL governance, and compliance requirements
- Enable automation through Python, Ansible, Power Platform
- Mentor engineers and support operational maturity initiatives
Must-Have Skills:
- Cisco UC (CUCM, Unity), SIP, Oracle SBC, Teams Direct Routing
- VoIP fundamentals: RTP/SRTP, QoS, codecs, SIP call flow analysis
- Strong incident management and troubleshooting expertise (P1/P0)
- TLS/SRTP, certificate lifecycle, SSO integrations
- ITIL, CAB governance, regulated banking environment experience
- Automation exposure: Python, YAML, Ansible, Power Platform

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience
