Role Overview
The QMS / QC Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) across all manufacturing operations.
The role will oversee incoming inspection, in-process quality control, final product validation, supplier quality management, certification compliance, and reliability monitoring to ensure products meet strict quality and safety standards.
The role also includes coordination with certification bodies, monitoring outsourced manufacturing quality, and ensuring compliance with international quality standards required for export markets.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)
Develop, implement, and maintain a structured Quality Management System across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Establishing quality policies, procedures, and standards
- Developing quality manuals, SOPs, inspection procedures, and testing protocols
- Implementing structured documentation systems aligned with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality frameworks
- Ensuring traceability and control of quality records across production operations
- Promoting a strong quality-focused culture across manufacturing and engineering teams
Quality Documentation & Data Management
Develop and maintain structured documentation systems for quality monitoring.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining inspection sheets, quality checklists, testing forms, and inspection standards
- Maintaining document control systems for quality documentation
- Ensuring proper version control and traceability of quality documents
- Maintaining records including:
- inspection reports
- test results
- supplier quality records
- non-conformance reports
- corrective action reports
Oversee and monitor data entry of QC inspection data collected from the production line, ensuring:
- accurate and timely recording of inspection results
- reliable tracking of production quality metrics
- documentation of deviations and corrective actions
- maintenance of historical quality data for analysis and audits.
Incoming Material Quality Control
Establish incoming inspection procedures for raw materials and purchased components including:
- Aluminum and copper raw materials
- Brass and stainless steel bars
- Injection molded plastic parts
- Compression molded elastomer components
- Electronic PCBs and electrical components
- Electrical wires and connectors
- Fasteners and purchased assemblies
Responsibilities include:
- defining incoming inspection standards
- verifying supplier material compliance
- maintaining inspection records and traceability.
In-Process Quality Control
Establish inspection and monitoring checkpoints across all manufacturing processes including:
- CNC machining
- CNC turning
- Injection molding
- Compression molding
- Welding operations
- Wire harness production
- Assembly processes
Responsibilities include:
- defining inspection criteria
- monitoring production quality
- identifying deviations during manufacturing
- ensuring compliance with process specifications.
Final Product Inspection & Testing
Oversee final validation of finished appliances.
Testing activities may include:
- functional testing
- electrical safety testing
- pressure testing
- thermal performance testing
- leak testing
- endurance and reliability testing
Ensure finished products meet design specifications, safety requirements, and certification standards.
Certification & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable product safety and export certification standards.
Responsibilities include:
- coordinating certification processes with testing and certification bodies such as:
- Intertek
- TÜV
- and other applicable international certification agencies
- preparing documentation and supporting product testing required for certification
- ensuring products and processes comply with applicable export and safety regulations
- maintaining certification records and compliance documentation.
Supplier Quality Management
Manage quality performance of suppliers and outsourced manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities include:
- evaluating supplier quality performance
- defining supplier quality standards and acceptance criteria
- resolving supplier quality issues
- ensuring suppliers meet required specifications.
Vendor Audits & Outsourced Process Monitoring
Conduct scheduled vendor visits and audits to ensure quality compliance at supplier facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- performing periodic supplier audits
- verifying that outsourced processes are performed according to specified requirements
- reviewing supplier production practices and quality control systems
- identifying risks in supplier processes
- implementing corrective actions where required.
Ensure all outsourced activities maintain consistent quality standards aligned with Vostar’s manufacturing requirements.
Non-Conformance Management
Manage identification and resolution of quality issues.
Responsibilities include:
- identifying non-conforming materials or products
- segregating defective components
- documenting quality deviations
- initiating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions
Lead structured investigations into product or process defects.
Responsibilities include applying techniques such as:
- 5 Why analysis
- Fishbone diagrams
- Failure analysis
- Process capability studies.
Implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Design for Quality (DFQ)
Participate in product design reviews to ensure quality and manufacturability.
Responsibilities include:
- identifying potential risks related to materials, tolerances, and assembly processes
- contributing to DFMEA and PFMEA activities
- developing quality control plans for new product introductions.
The objective is to prevent defects during product development rather than after production begins.
Process Capability & Statistical Quality Control
Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure consistent and predictable quality.
Responsibilities include:
- establishing process capability monitoring
- tracking critical manufacturing parameters
- implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods where applicable
- monitoring Cp and Cpk values for critical product characteristics
- identifying process drift early.
Product Reliability & Lifecycle Testing
Establish reliability validation programs.
Responsibilities include:
- developing endurance and lifecycle testing procedures
- validating product durability under simulated operating conditions
- evaluating long-term performance under thermal and pressure stresses.
Field Failure & Warranty Analysis
Monitor product performance in the field.
Responsibilities include:
- tracking warranty claims and service reports
- analyzing returned products to determine failure causes
- identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective improvements.
Customer Feedback & Quality Improvement
Ensure customer feedback is integrated into quality improvement efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- reviewing service and complaint data
- identifying recurring product issues
- coordinating corrective actions with engineering and production teams.
Continuous Quality Improvement
Lead initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities include:
- reducing defect rates
- improving process capability
- reducing scrap and rework
- improving overall product reliability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The role will be responsible for improving and maintaining:
- Incoming material defect rate
- Process rejection rate
- Final product pass rate
- Supplier defect rate
- Warranty / field failure rate
- Customer complaint rate
- Quality-related production losses.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality management or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in appliance manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or precision component manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Experience with inspection methods and measurement tools
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action systems
- Understanding of process capability and statistical quality control
- Experience coordinating product certifications and regulatory compliance
- Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹540,000.00 per year
