Job Title: QA Automation Engineer
4–7 years overall experience in Quality Assurance, with 2–3+ years of solid automation scripting experience.

Analyze business and functional requirements to design clear, detailed, and effective test cases.

Perform manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and compliance with requirements.

Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Pytest, Katalon, Cypress, UFT, or equivalent.

Automate UI-based testing and API testing; exposure to performance testing is a plus.

Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing across test cycles.

Review, log, track, and document defects, test results, and resolution steps.

Prepare and maintain test plans, test scripts, test data, and test reports.

Ensure adequate test coverage across multiple environments and releases.

Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.

Participate in test cycle closure activities, including lessons learned and quality metrics reporting.

Proactively suggest process improvements and contribute to continuous quality enhancement initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

2–3+ years of hands-on automation scripting experience; overall QA experience of 4–7 years is preferred.

Open to working with Pytest, even if coming from a different automation stack.

Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.

Experience with automation frameworks such as data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid frameworks.

Solid experience in manual testing, including functional and regression testing.

Good exposure to UI and API automation; performance testing experience is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.
