Viceroy Luxury Mountain Resort & Spa is looking for a responsible, organized, and hardworking Storekeeper cum Driver to join our team. Experience in storekeeping, purchasing, or inventory management is preferred but not mandatory. This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth operation of our resort by maintaining stock levels and supporting procurement activities. Valid LMV driving licence with hands-on car driving experience is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the resort store.
- Receive, inspect, and issue materials as per departmental requirements.
- Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock verification and report discrepancies.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and housekeeping of the store.
- Coordinate with various departments regarding material requirements.
- Assist in local purchasing and procurement of goods.
- Compare quotations and ensure quality purchases at competitive prices.
- Collect materials from suppliers whenever required.
- Drive the company vehicle for purchasing, deliveries, and other official duties.
- Ensure timely servicing, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Follow company procedures for documentation, goods receipt, and stock movement.
- Support the Accounts and Operations teams with purchase and inventory records.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum qualification: Higher Secondary (Plus Two) or equivalent.
- Experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or purchasing is preferred but not mandatory.
- Freshers with good learning ability may also apply.
- Must possess a valid LMV Driving Licence.
- Good knowledge of inventory handling and stock management.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, email) is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of hospitality or hotel store operations.
- Familiarity with purchase procedures and vendor management.
- Basic understanding of inventory software is an added advantage.
- Good negotiation skills for local purchasing.
