Job Summary:
The Quality Controller will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the hospital's quality management system in line with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) standards. This role ensures compliance with quality and safety protocols, improves patient care processes, and helps in preparing the hospital for NABH accreditation and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. NABH Compliance & Accreditation Process

Develop and implement quality policies and SOPs as per NABH standards.

Ensure compliance with NABH guidelines across all departments.

Conduct periodic internal audits and quality assessments.

Prepare the hospital for NABH accreditation and renewal audits.
2. Quality Monitoring & Improvement

Monitor clinical and non-clinical quality indicators.

Identify areas of improvement in patient care and hospital processes.

Coordinate with departments to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for any patient safety incidents.
3. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Development

Develop, revise, and maintain SOPs as per NABH standards for clinical, administrative, and operational procedures.

Train staff on SOP implementation and ensure adherence.

Regularly update SOPs based on changes in NABH guidelines or hospital policies.
4. Staff Training & Awareness

Organize NABH-related awareness programs and training for doctors, nurses, and hospital staff.

Conduct mock drills and workshops on patient safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness.

Ensure documentation and records are maintained as per NABH standards.
5. Infection Control & Patient Safety

Work with the infection control team to implement hospital infection prevention protocols.

Ensure a safe hospital environment by monitoring hygiene, sterilization, and biomedical waste management.

Review incident reports and ensure patient safety measures are followed.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting

Maintain and analyze hospital quality data related to clinical outcomes, patient safety, and operational efficiency.

Present periodic reports on quality improvements, risk areas, and NABH compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
-
Bachelor's/Master’s in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or any related field.

Certification in NABH, JCI, or Quality Management is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years experience in hospital quality management, NABH accreditation, or healthcare audits.

Experience in developing SOPs, conducting audits, and training staff on quality protocols.
