Job Summary:

The Nursing Vice Principal plays a pivotal leadership role in managing and advancing the nursing education program within the School of Nursing of Brainware University. Responsible for supporting the Principal in academic administration, curriculum development, faculty management, and clinical coordination, the Vice Principal ensures the delivery of high-quality nursing education that meets regulatory standards. This role involves strategic planning, fostering research and professional development, overseeing student affairs, and maintaining strong partnerships with healthcare organizations to facilitate clinical training. The Nursing Vice Principal is committed to promoting excellence in nursing education, supporting faculty and students, and contributing to the overall mission of the institution.

Minimum Requirements:

M.Sc.(N) with 12 years experience after M.Sc.(N) out of which 10 years should teaching experience after MSc.

Responsibility:

1. Academic Leadership

Oversee the nursing education programs and ensure they meet accreditation and regulatory standards.
Assist in curriculum development, review, and implementation to maintain high-quality education.
Promote research and evidence-based practice within the nursing faculty.
Support faculty development, including mentoring and performance evaluations.
Lead initiatives to enhance student learning outcomes and overall academic performance.

2. Administrative Management

Assist the Nursing Principal in managing daily operations of the nursing school or department.
Coordinate scheduling of classes, clinical placements, and faculty assignments.
Manage budgets, resources, and infrastructure related to nursing education.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and external regulatory requirements.
Participate in strategic planning and policy formulation for the nursing division.

3. Clinical Coordination and Oversight

Collaborate with clinical partners (hospitals, clinics) to facilitate clinical training for students.
Ensure the integration of clinical practice with theoretical learning.
Monitor clinical placement quality and address any issues that arise.
Promote safe clinical practices and uphold professional standards among students and faculty.

4. Student Support and Engagement

Oversee student affairs, including counseling, discipline, and academic support.
Foster a positive learning environment and encourage student participation in extracurricular and professional activities.
Address student grievances and ensure effective communication between students and faculty.

5. External Relations and Representation

Represent the nursing school in institutional meetings and external forums.
Build partnerships with healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and professional associations.
Facilitate community outreach and public health initiatives involving nursing students.
