Job Summary
The Junior Warehouse Officer is responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, inventory control, material issuance, documentation, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and consumables. The role ensures compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and inventory accuracy while maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans.
- Ensure proper unloading, labeling, identification, and storage of materials.
- Issue raw materials and packaging materials to production as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory practices wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of chemicals as per compatibility and safety guidelines.
- Assist in dispatch planning and loading of finished goods.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/SAP/Tally or warehouse management systems.
- Perform daily stock updates and inventory reconciliation.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual physical stock verification.
- Report inventory shortages, excesses, damages, or slow-moving stock.
Documentation
- Prepare and maintain GRN, Material Issue Slips, Stock Transfer Notes, Gate Passes, and Dispatch Documents.
- Ensure proper filing of warehouse records and inventory documents.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QA/QC, and Logistics departments for smooth material flow.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow warehouse SOPs, GMP, 5S, and safety regulations.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
- Support audits by maintaining accurate documentation and records.
Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters for timely dispatches.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in inventory planning and warehouse improvements.
- Support cross-functional teams during material movement and production requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or any relevant discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse/store operations, preferably in the Chemical, Pharma, FMCG, or Manufacturing industry.
- Freshers with relevant internships or warehouse training may also be considered.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
