Role Overview:
The Assistant Professor – Travel & Tourism is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching,industry-oriented learning experiences, student mentoring, academic administration and industry engagement activities. The role requires a passionate educator who can create an engaging learning environment, bridge classroom concepts with real-world tourism practices, and inspire students to become future-ready tourism professionals. The faculty member will play a key role in enhancing student learning outcomes, promoting experiential learning, developing industry collaborations and strengthening the institution's presence in the tourism and hospitality ecosystem. Special emphasis will be placed on Tourism Management, Sustainable Tourism, Community- Based Tourism, Homestay Operations, Entrepreneurship, Destination Management and Industry Exposure Programs.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Master's Degree in Travel & Tourism, Tourism Management, Hospitality & Tourism, Tourism Administration, or related discipline.
-
NET/SET/Ph.D. preferred as per applicable academic regulations.
-
Minimum 2–5 years of teaching and/or industry experience in Travel & Tourism.
-
Experience in conducting educational tours, destination studies, and tourism projects.
-
Exposure to homestay operations, community tourism, or destination development initiatives will be highly preferred.
