Client Acquisition & Outreach
- Identify and engage prospective clients through structured outreach — telephone calls, written correspondence, field visits, LinkedIn, and digital platforms
- Research target accounts thoroughly before outreach to ensure relevance, personalisation, and a compelling first impression
- Qualify leads effectively by assessing business challenges, decision-making authority, budget, and buying timeline
- Conduct thorough needs assessments and deliver solution-oriented presentations that directly address client pain points
Ongoing Client Engagement & Relationship Management
A central expectation of this role is the ability to build and sustain meaningful client relationships over the long term. Winning a client is only the beginning — keeping them engaged, informed, and satisfied is what drives retention, referrals, and sustained revenue growth.
- Maintain consistent, structured follow-up with all prospects and active clients — no lead should go cold due to inaction
- Schedule and conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and value-add interactions to deepen client relationships
- Proactively share relevant market insights, product updates, and tailored solutions to create ongoing value for clients
- Anticipate client needs before they are expressed — demonstrate initiative by offering solutions ahead of problems arising
- Handle client concerns and objections with professionalism, empathy, and a solution-first mindset at every stage
- Build trust through reliability — always follow through on commitments, respond promptly, and communicate proactively
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base through attentive relationship management
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
- Support the senior sales team in lead qualification, opportunity tracking, and timely follow-up across the full sales pipeline
- Prepare accurate and professional sales documentation — proposals, quotations, activity reports, and client correspondence
- Maintain comprehensive and current records in the CRM system to provide a real-time view of all client interactions and pipeline status
- Consistently meet and strive to exceed defined weekly and monthly sales targets
Marketing & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and sustained post-sales satisfaction
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify industry trends, competitive intelligence, and new business opportunities
- Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
