About The Royal Medical Centre
The Royal Medical Centre is a healthcare organisation with a focus on preventive healthcare, metabolic health, lifestyle management and integrated wellness.
We are looking for a Calisthenics Fitness Trainer to join our Metabolic Corrections & Obesity Clinic and work with clients as part of a structured, health-oriented fitness and lifestyle programme.
This is not a conventional gym trainer role. Our approach places greater emphasis on body-weight exercises, functional movement, mobility, strength, conditioning and sustainable physical activity, rather than predominantly machine-based workouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supervised fitness and exercise sessions for clients enrolled in the Metabolic Corrections & Obesity Clinic.
- Design and conduct body-weight and calisthenics-based exercise programmes according to the client's fitness level and capabilities.
- Focus on functional strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, coordination and cardiovascular conditioning.
- Modify exercises appropriately for beginners, overweight/obese clients, sedentary individuals and clients with limited physical capacity.
- Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and ensure proper form.
- Closely monitor clients during exercise sessions and ensure safe execution.
- Gradually progress exercise intensity based on individual fitness improvement.
- Conduct warm-up, mobility, conditioning and cool-down sessions.
- Maintain exercise/session records and track client participation and progress.
- Coordinate with the clinical/healthcare team regarding client progress, limitations and exercise-related observations.
- Motivate clients and encourage adherence to prescribed exercise and lifestyle programmes.
- Educate clients on the importance of regular physical activity and sustainable lifestyle habits.
- Maintain a professional, positive and encouraging training environment.
- Participate in fitness assessments, group sessions, awareness programmes and other clinic activities when required.
