The MEP Lead will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works at project sites. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all MEP activities across construction projects.
- Review MEP drawings, BOQs, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and project managers.
- Ensure MEP works comply with approved drawings, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of MEP milestones.
- Supervise MEP contractors, subcontractors, and site engineers.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship standards.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during execution.
- Coordinate procurement of MEP materials and verify material specifications.
- Monitor project costs and optimize resource utilization.
- Prepare project progress reports and maintain technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Attend client, consultant, and coordination meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in MEP execution and coordination within the construction industry.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial building projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and ELV systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with relevant Indian codes and construction standards.
- Good planning, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
