The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers, developing strategic business opportunities, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets. The role involves leading the sales function, identifying new market opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
The position will play a key role in expanding Mtough's and Jetflex’s presence in domestic and international markets for PP woven bags, BOPP laminated bags, woven fabrics, Pouches, laminates and flexible packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Develop new customers across India and international markets.
- Identify opportunities in Agriculture, Seeds, Fertilizers, Animal Feed, Food Processing, Rice, Flour, Sugar, Chemicals, Construction Materials, and Industrial Packaging.
- Generate qualified leads through customer visits, networking, referrals, exhibitions, digital platforms, and industry associations.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Prepare business development strategies for assigned territories.
2. Sales Management
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Increase sales volume, profitability, and market share.
- Prepare annual sales plans and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when required.
- Drive profitable business growth while maintaining company pricing policies.
3. Key Account Management
- Develop long-term relationships with strategic customers.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business review meetings.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and additional product lines.
- Improve customer retention and repeat business.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
4. Quotation & Commercial Negotiation
- Prepare quotations in coordination with management.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements within approved limits.
- Follow up on quotations until conversion into confirmed orders.
- Maintain records of quotations, negotiations, and order status.
5. Order Execution Coordination
- Review customer purchase orders and product specifications.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch teams.
- Monitor production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Ensure timely execution of customer orders.
- Keep customers informed about order status and dispatch schedules.
6. Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and new product launches.
- Track industry trends and emerging packaging requirements.
- Collect customer feedback and recommend product improvements.
- Identify new market segments and business opportunities.
7. Customer Complaint Management
- Coordinate with the Quality team for complaint investigation and resolution.
- Visit customer locations when required.
- Ensure timely closure of complaints.
- Maintain records of customer feedback and corrective actions.
- Strengthen customer confidence through proactive support.
8. Export Business Development
- Develop overseas customers and distribution partners.
- Coordinate with export documentation and logistics teams.
- Participate in international exhibitions and trade development activities.
- Expand Mtough's export business in identified markets.
9. Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Support participation in trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer events.
- Coordinate preparation of brochures, presentations, product catalogues, and promotional material.
- Support digital marketing initiatives, including the company website and LinkedIn presence.
- Promote new product launches and strengthen the Mtough brand.
10. Reporting & MIS
Prepare and submit:
- Daily sales activity reports.
- Weekly enquiry and quotation status reports.
- Monthly sales performance reports.
- Sales forecasts.
- Customer visit reports.
- Pipeline and conversion reports.
- Competitor analysis.
- Market intelligence reports.

Qualification
- MBA (Marketing) / PGDM / BBA / Graduate.
- Engineering or Polymer/Packaging background preferred.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in B2B industrial sales and business development.
- Experience in PP Woven Bags, Flexible Packaging, Laminates, Plastics, Packaging Materials.
- Proven experience in handling institutional customers and key accounts.
