At TORM, you will join Group Business Finance in Mumbai as part of a seven-member team responsible for Group Accounting across specified countries, giving you broad exposure and clear ownership from the start. Working in close collaboration with finance and cross functional teams across the Group, you will help improve accounting processes and deliver high-quality reporting in one of the world’s leading product tanker companies.
As Assistant Accounting Manager, you will contribute to accurate accounting, effective controls, and continuous improvement across Group Business Finance, working with a skilled team to deliver high-quality, timely financial reporting.
Your Profile
Our Centre of Excellence is part of Group Business Finance and is responsible for Group Accounting based out of Mumbai. Group Business Finance is furthermore responsible for general accounting, business controlling, voyage controlling and technical controlling. Group Business Finance is also responsible for financial systems and processes across the Group and the internal reporting to the business / divisions.
You will report to the Country Accounting Manager, CAM, and will be part of a seven-member team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting of specified countries including deferred tax, depreciation, provisions and cut-off procedures
- Periodic reconciliations including bank, vendor, and general ledger
- Assisting in performing SOX controls
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting and finance business processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Support finance and cross-functional projects by coordinating assigned accounting deliverables and providing financial input
- Assisting in business audit reviews and statutory audit reviews
- Ensure accurate accounting records and deliver assigned accounting activities within established deadlines
- Perform ad-hoc accounting analyses and prepare financial information requested by management to support decision-making

To do well in this role, you bring
- A Chartered Accountant certification preferably with 1-2 years of experience
- Knowledge of IFRS / Ind AS / US GAAP
- Experience in accounting operations and financial reporting
- Experience in standard ERP viz. SAP, MS Dynamics for at least two years
- Demonstrated functional leadership capabilities
- Self-motivation and proactive with significant drive
- Well-developed analytical and numerical skills
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written English
