About GuruJal
GuruJal is an initiative of Abhipsa Foundation dedicated to achieving water neutrality through innovative groundwater recharge and water management solutions. We have successfully rejuvenated over 100 ponds, implemented 700+ rainwater harvesting structures, and enabled 827 million litres of groundwater recharge annually.
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civil & Structural Design Engineer to lead the design, planning, execution, and quality assurance of sustainable water infrastructure projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Design & Planning
- Prepare structural drawings and reinforcement (rebar) detailing.
- Develop plans, sections, and layouts for Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs).
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Supervise site execution and monitor project progress.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Prepare Project Completion Reports (PCR) and Damage Assessment Reports (DAR).
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct quality checks and testing of soil, concrete, structures, and construction materials.
- Ensure compliance with IS Codes and engineering standards.
- Monitor adherence to safety and quality requirements.
Quantity Surveying & Site Measurement
- Perform quantity surveying and estimation.
- Verify quantities for billing and reporting purposes.
- Conduct site surveys and maintain accurate project records.
Surveying & Technical Operations
- Operate Total Station and Auto Level instruments.
- Carry out site layout, leveling, and measurement activities.
- Support project implementation using modern surveying and design tools.
Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in civil, structural, and water infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in:
- Structural Design & Rebar Detailing
- BOQ Preparation
- Quantity Surveying (QS)
- Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Projects
- Hands-on experience with Total Station and Auto Level instruments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering software.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
